Position Summary:
The Floater is a versatile team member responsible for providing support across various areas of the manufacturing process. This role involves flexibility to assist with different tasks as needed, including machine operation, material handling, assembly, and general labor. The Floater plays a vital role in maintaining production efficiency and meeting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation: Assist machine operators in setting up, operating, and monitoring manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to production schedules.

Material Handling: Transport raw materials, components, and finished products between workstations and storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.

Assembly and Subassembly: Participate in the assembly and subassembly of components, following standardized work instructions and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and efficient assembly processes.

Quality Control: Perform visual inspections and basic measurements to verify the quality and accuracy of products, identifying and reporting any defects or discrepancies to supervisors.

General Labor: Assist with general labor tasks such as cleaning work areas, removing debris, organizing inventory, and other duties as assigned to maintain a clean and orderly production environment.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training programs.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize tasks, coordinate workflow, and address any production issues or challenges to meet production goals and deadlines.

Flexibility: Adapt to changing priorities and work assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks and skills to support overall manufacturing operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including standing, lifting, and repetitive motions.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
