The Lincoln Group has partnered with a client in the injection molding industry in search of a Maintenance Technician to join their team! The role will work closely with engineers, operators, and other maintenance personnel to ensure the successful implementation and optimal performance of all systems. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment used in the production of plastic molded parts. Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: El Paso, TX
Work Schedule: Overnight shift, some weekends required
Compensation: $24 – $28/hr
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Conducting regular equipment inspections to proactively identify potential issues.
- Planning and executing a preventative maintenance plan to maximize machinery uptime and extend it’s productive lifespan.
- Maintenance and configuration of PLCs, HMIs, robotic controllers, servo drives and related equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and stepper motor components.
- Collaborate with operators to provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting guidance as needed for all equipment.
- Keeping up with documentation to maintain meticulous records of maintenance work, trends, and outcomes to support data-driven decisions making.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations and building codes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to maintenance and automation.
- Generate strategies for identifying and mitigating recurring equipment problems.
- Install, set up and repair equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
- Respond promptly to alarms, errors, or breakdowns in any of the systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of equipment installation, maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications for all equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation systems and processes for electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and facilities.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards associated with the installation and operation of automation equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a maintenance or automation technician.
- Familiarity with plastic molding processes, equipment, and related systems.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions related to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and stepper motor systems.
- Attention to detail and safety.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
